VICTORIA SQUARE, BELFAST

Victoria Square was a major retail led development of the city centre of Belfast. Topped by a landmark glass dome, the scheme now forms the prime retail core for the city.

​

It comprises approximately 800,000 sq ft of retail, F&B and leisure space with 1000 underground car park spaces and 140 apartments.

SOUTHGATE, BATH

Client: Multi /Aviva in JV
Status: Completed in 2013
Role: Development Management

SouthGate was a comprehensive redevelopment of the southern quarter of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath. It was designed as an uncovered streetscape in Georgian style and clad in Bath stone.

​

It comprises approximately 400,000 sq ft of retail and F&B space with 800 underground car park spaces and 100 apartments. It also included the construction of a new integrated transport hub (bus and rail) for the city.

​

FRIARS WALK, NEWPORT

Client: Newport City Council
Status: Completed in 2015
Role: Development Management

Friars Walk was a major retail led redevelopment of the John Frost Square area of Newport city centre. The development was delivered via a public/private partnership whereby an SPV company was the developer with debt funding provided by the Council.

​

It comprises approximately 400,000 sq ft of retail, F&B and leisure space with a 350 space underground car park. It also included the construction of a new bus interchange for the city, integrated into the scheme.

CORN EXCHANGE, MANCHESTER

Client: Aviva Investors
Status: Completed in 2017
Role: Development Management

The Corn Exchange was the comprehensive repurposing of the historic (and listed) Corn Exchange building in Exchange Square in city centre Manchester. The existing asset was a failing retail and office scheme.


The scheme was delivered in 2 phases: phase 1 was the creation of a dining hub centred around an internal glazed dome and phase 2 was the creation of an aparthotel to the upper floors surrounding the dome.

​

It comprised approximately 100,000 sq ft of F&B space (18 restaurants) with a 114 key apart-hotel.

​

TUNSGATE QUARTER, GUILDFORD

Client: Merseyside Pension Fund
Status: Completed in 2018
Role: Development Manager

Tunsgate Quarter was the repurposing of the existing Tunsgate Shopping centre on High St in the centre of Guildford. The existing asset was a failed retail scheme.

​

The building was completely refurbished, extended and converted to a mix of F&B, retail and residential uses and is anchored by an Ivy Grill restaurant. 

​

It comprises approximately 60,000 sq ft of retail and F&B space, a 60 space underground carpark and 14 residential apartments.

​

METQUARTER, LIVERPOOL

Client: Metquarter Investments
Status: Completed 2018
Role: Development Management

Originally constructed as the Central Post Office in 1899, the Metquarter had been redeveloped as a shopping centre in the early 2000's, but had begun to fail as a retail asset.


The project involved a repositioning of the asset to focus more on F&B and leisure uses alongside retail.

​

It comprises approximately 130,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and educational space including an Everyman cinema and the Liverpool Media Academy.

​

ANGEL CENTRAL, ISLINGTON

Client: CBRE Global Investors
Status: Completed 2021
Role: Development Management

This project involved a reconfiguration and major refurbishment of the existing Angel Central shopping centre.

​

Underused basement parking facilities were converted into retail and leisure space. External circulation at first floor was reconfigured with the addition of a pedestrian bridge to improve the footfall circuit and a comprehensive upgrade to external elevations and floor, wall and ceiling finishes were undertaken. The existing 'Angel Wings' art installation was altered and raised to accommodate the alterations.

THE GLASSWORKS, BARNSLEY

Client: Barnsley MBC

Status: Under Construction (Phase 2)

Role: Development Managment

​

The Glassworks is the complete regeneration of the Market and town centre of Barnsley.

​

The project has been undertaken in 2 phases:


The existing 1970's era market hall has been transformed into a modern covered market complex.

​

The surrounding area has been developed into a covered retail and leisure destination linked to the existing retail core. A new public square has been created with perimeter F&B and leisure uses and a new public library building.  

​

Anchored by a 45,000sq ft Cinema, the scheme comprises approximately 400,000 sq ft of new retail, F&B and leisure space, with a 500 space multi story car park.

​

Construction value: £90m

HEART OF THE CITY II, SHEFFIELD

Client: Sheffield City Council
Status: Under Construction
Role: Development Management

Heart of the City II is currently the UK's most comprehensive local authority sponsored mixed-use regeneration scheme. It covers 8 city 'blocks' in the centre of Sheffield over an area of approximately 16 acres.


The multi-phase scheme is at varying stages of development with some elements complete, some under construction and some at pre-construction stage. 


The total scheme comprises almost 1,000,000 sq ft of lettable space with primary uses of Hotel, Residential, Offices, Leisure, Retail, F&B and Car Parking.

BOROUGH YARDS, LONDON

Role: Development Management

Sitting adjacent to the historic Borough Market in Southwark, Borough Yards is the redevelopment of an old railway yard and railways arches into an office, retail and leisure destination.

​

Built around a new internal streetscape, the existing arches are repurposed into retail and F&B uses and a new office building is created with retail and leisure uses at ground floor.


Approximately 100,000 sq ft of new retail, F&B and leisure space and 50,000 sq ft of office space is being generated.

​

Construction cost: £80m
